I started writing books around 18 years ago—about two years before the birth of my son. It is no coincidence that for the past 16 years my work has tracked his progress—from the fairytale world of The Toffee Makers, through to Sci-Fi and the Star Wars-inspired Turbulence, to the harsher realities of Off The Rails, my young adult book. I'm a writer and journalist with over 25 years of editorial experience. I've contributed articles to newspapers, including The Financial Times, Evening Standard, and The Far Eastern Economic Review, as well as features for London Magazine and a variety of other publications. I am currently managing editor of Magazine World, the flagship title of FIPP—The Worldwide Magazine Media Association. My thriller The Trade is published by Endeavour Press, the UK's leading electronic publisher, and is available on Amazon under the name Karen Taylor.
