As any Catholic knows, there are a million different choices out there when it comes to worthwhile reading. There are literally thousands upon thousands of great Catholic books to help you understand and grow in your faith. When it comes to books for pure pleasure, books to read in one’s downtime for recreation and relaxation though, the choices are more limited. Fictional stories can provide a beautiful way to unwind and as Jesus, who taught through parables, shows us, they can still impart a meaningful message. However, I found that as a Catholic wife and mother truly Catholic novels are hard to find. As a Mother and an avid reader, I have always yearned for stories that would affirm me in my vocation. I wanted stories I could relate to that would build me up and validate my values and beliefs. As a writer, I recognized the need for authentically Catholic fiction and furthermore, the need for stories that cultivate a culture of life. My goal and greatest desire is to glorify God through my stories while filling this void in the literary world.
