In 2017 Karin Springer teamed up with her younger daughter Raphi to create a graphic novel around Sumerian mythology. The first volume of the Esemtu series was published in June 2019. Born 1969 in Vienna, Austria and a book lover from an early age onwards she studied German and English language and literature at the university of Vienna to become a teacher and an author. As life goes, when she had to bring up her two daughters on her own these aspirations were set aside and Karin worked as a finance expert in Austria, Romania and Germany.
