A fanzine writer notorious for upsetting pop stars, Karren Ablaze! was a pioneer of the riot grrrl movement in the UK and went on to sing with a number of underground bands. She later produced the fanzine compendium The City Is Ablaze! and has contributed to various publications including The Guardian.
