Kate worked for a development charity and as a primary teacher before writing the Vlad stories. Her eldest son, Sam, creates the illustrations of the historical flea and his friendly side-kicks. When she is not researching and writing she visits schools and libraries and there are lots of resources and links connected with the books on her website.
