Kate McBrien writes sexy and witty contemporary romance fiction. She has always enjoyed writing but became serious after being encouraged by a friend (shout out to you, Regina Kammer) to participate in National Novel Writing Month. She began writing historical fiction but soon realized that romantic elements were taking over the historical. She has an MA in art history, and taught at a local college. She has worked for years as a dental hygienist and will never give up hope on non-flossers. Kate is a San Francisco Bay Area native who lives near the beach with her husband and Lola, their spoiled Labrador Retriever. When not writing, she enjoys cooking, music, movies, reading, and fangirling over Jamie Dornan.
