Kathy Hebert was born in Burlington, Vermont. After 12 years of Catholic schools, she traveled to Brooklyn, New York to major in Fashion Design at Pratt, Institute. Hebert sang and played guitar to pay for her tuition and board and discovered a love of art in her 4 years at Pratt. Not the most gifted of artists, Hebert continued to sing for her supper. It was in Massachusetts that she began taking more art classes. Eventually, she designed an art course for people like her - people who felt they had no talent. In 1986 she began teaching adults - No Talent Required. She now teaches at her studio and, after 2 years, has finished her first book "No Talent Required: My Journey from Paint by Numbers to Art Instructor." When not teaching or painting, Hebert works in her garden and belly dances.
