Kenneth Rose, Ph.D.: I have been a professor of philosophy and religion for nearly three decades. My degrees include an M.Div. from Harvard Divinity School and an M.A. and Ph.D. in the Study of Religion from Harvard University. My books include Yoga, Meditation, and Mysticism: Contemplative Universals and Meditative Landmarks and Pluralism: The Future of Religion. At Harvard, I was a Fellow at the Center for the Study of World Religions, where I also was a resident for seven years. I developed and lead the online course, “Wisdom from World Religions,” which is funded by a Templeton World Charity Foundation grant, https://wisdomfromworldreligions.com/ (videos currently archived at https://radianceofawareness.com/course/). Link to the course's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/WisdomFromWo... My two Audible Audiobooks are available at: https://smile.amazon.com/s/ref=dp_byl... I was featured in January 2019 in an interview with Jacob Kyle at Embodied Philosophy, “Kenneth Rose on the Brain, Mystical Experience & Religious Studies” (#86), https://omny.fm/shows/chitheads/ken-r... and https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/c... Besides numerous academic articles and reviews, I have authored three books: Yoga, Meditation, and Mysticism: Contemplative Universals and Meditative Landmarks (Bloomsbury Academic, 2016), Pluralism: The Future of Religion (Bloomsbury Academic, 2013), and Knowing the Real: John Hick on the Cognitivity of Religions and Religious Pluralism. Peter Lang, 1996. My major research interests are pluralist philosophies and theologies of religions and comparative mysticism and contemplative methods. In my own yoga and meditation practice, I combine methods and insights from Advaita Vedānta, the Upaniṣads, the Yoga Sūtra, and various schools of Buddhism.
