Investigative TV journalist Jett Thacker is recruited to check out a series of gruesome deaths taking place around a large Florida wilderness area that is popular with campers and tourists. The lethal attacks appear to be the work of a rogue panther - an endangered species in the sunshine state - but the owner of a nearby private zoo believes a psychopath may be grabbing people at random and mauling them to death in the woods.
