Kimberly Filkins graduated from Presbyterian College in 2009 with a Bachelor’s in Business and began working as a Staff Accountant with a CPA firm. After eight tax seasons, she changed gears and now works as a Corporate Accountant at a hotel management firm. She wrote her first novel, Magnolia Run, on weekends, lunch hours, and while hiding from the tax returns on her desk. When she’s not working or writing, Kimberly is reading, napping, or mining her surroundings for interesting blog posts. She can also be found at her church, Bridgeway Church, where she participates in International Missions and general globe-trotting. She is an avid people-watcher and journal writer. She was born to two New Yorkers but raised as a Southerner in Woodruff, South Carolina and lives there still.
