Kindred Journeys, two journeys, woven together across time and half a continent. One begins in the fifties when a woman finds herself giving birth unexpectedly as she travels west. Another begins decades later when a cop and a nurse meet in a class and suspect they share more than an interest in writing. As evidence builds that they're related, each makes unsettling discoveries about their own past. They start a search for a mother they never knew, finding more chapters than they could have imagined in the story of their life.
