Kirsten Spiteri was born on 2nd August 1987. He was raised between Bormla and Żejtun. At age 12, he submitted his first ever work of literature about the extinction of dinosaurs, to a monthly school magazine named Sagħtar, and it was published. He won the Young-Adult Category of the 2017 London Book Festival with his first novel, The Wave (Faraxa, 2016). 2 other novels quickly followed; Far From Home (Faraxa, 2017) and, In the Land of Marigolds (Faraxa, 2019). Next came the novel, Perfettament Imperfetta (Merlin, 2021), which placed Spiteri in the roster of alternative literary voices. Some of his poems, namely VODKA and L-ISTILLA TAT-TRAMUNTANA, were published in ANTOLOĠIJA 24 (Kotba Calleja, 2024). With manuscript "Kristalli tas-Silġ," he won the 2024 Novels for Youth Literary Contest.
