CARLO VERGARA, simply known as his signature CARVER, is a Filipino graphic designer, writer, editor, theatre actor, teacher, and illustrator. Wrote and illustrated One Night in Purgatory, a short comics tale about homosexual love. The comic book was nominated by the Manila Critics Circle for a National Book Award the following year, and was cited by the Sanghaya Yearbook of the state-run National Commission for Culture and the Arts. A year after, he produced his second graphic novel, Ang Kagila-gilalas na Pakikipagsapalaran ni Zsazsa Zaturnnah, which was adapted into a musical and feature film in 2006, and winner of the Manila Critics' Circle National Book Award. He has also done illustration work for Graphic Classics anthologies (published by Eureka Productions), and is now currently working full-time as a creative director for a magazine publishing company, devoting his spare time to making comics. A lawyer by training and a writer by inclination, in 2009 Paolo resigned from one of the top law firms in the country to establish Eight Ray Sun Publishing Inc., driven to take advantage of the burgeoning ebook market to allow Filipino Speculative Fiction authors a chance, not only to reach an international audience, but to eventually make a living from writing. Paolo’s articles have appeared in the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Philippine Online Chronicles, and Code RED Magazine. His stories have appeared in the Digest of Philippine Genre Stories, A Time for Dragons, and the Farthest Shore. He won third place in the 2009 Carlos Palanca Awards in the Short Story for Children (English) category. His greatest escapade was sneaking in to watch Total Recall when he was 12 years old. It was totally not worth it.

Elbert Or graduated from the Ateneo Manila University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. He is currently working as a freelance writer and illustrator for various publications and organizations. He still dabbles in comics creation on occasion, with a number of comics endeavors on his slate, including Cherry Blossom High (as writer), Nautilus Comics‘ teen-oriented comic book series Cast (as editor) and his own pet project, Two Color Truth Theatre. He is a member of Ang Illustrador ng Kabataan (Ang InK) and has illustrated Ang Parusa ng Duwende and Ang Binibining Tumalo sa Mahal na Hari for Anvil Publishing, Fat, Cranky and Full of It for Milflores Publishing. Jonathan 'KaJO' Baldisimo is a Filipino artist who co-created with writer Budjette Tan the hit comic book series entitled TRESE. He also created NWA, an independent comic book featuring a Filipino superhero universe set primarily in the city of Makati where he was born and raised. KaJo just recently made his break in the international comic book scene with The Defuser, a comic based on Stan Lee’s reality TV show Who Wants To Be A Super-Hero?, followed by a stint on Star Wars Legacy (both published by Dark Horse Comics).
