Kota Yamada is a poet and artist born and raised in the Queen City of the South, Cebu City—Philippines. He has always been quite fascinated with art and literature at an early age, writing letters and greeting cards to his mom. He stumbled upon poetry in high school for his love for music and lyricism. Since then he diligently learned his craft moving forward to storytelling and perfecting his own brand of poetry. He published his book under a publishing company he started—Yamada Publishing. Lost Hearts is his debut poetry collection. It Was Rather Short Lived is his second book.
