This book is designed to give the reader an insight into various languages whether you are trying to decide which language you want to study or just to learn a few phrases to surprise someone special. The book contains information on learning eight Italian, Chinese, Polish, Spanish, Japanese, French, German and Russian. The book is divided into two Section "A" is titled "Special Phrases". It contains three tables. Each table includes all eight languages and how to say one of three special "I love you", "Happy Birthday" and "Merry Christmas". The table with the phrase "I love you" in eight different languages might be what you are looking for to impress that special someone of yours. Section "B" is titled "General Section". This section actually teaches you how to converse in these languages utilizing some common everyday phrases. Corresponding phonetically associated word groupings are provided to aid in the learning process. It also teaches you how to count from 1 to 10 in each of the languages. Also included is a table that provides the appropriate language names of family members. The book is not intended to make you fluent in the language; that is beyond the scope of this book but it is informative and insightful. It gives you a "taste" of what a language is like. The book provides the opportunity to learn a few phrases which are all you may need to make that special relative, a grandparent perhaps, to feel appreciated. It gives you the capability to speak to them in their own language even if it is only to say "hello" and "how are you doing", or perhaps "Happy Birthday".
