Laura Desiano, formerly Laura E. Davis, is the author of Braiding the Storm, a poetry chapbook forthcoming from Finishing Line Press (2012). Her poem "Widowing" won the 2012 Crab Creek Review Poetry Contest, judged by Dorianne Laux. Her poems are featured or forthcoming in Sweet Lit, Super Arrow, J.T. Eckleberg Review, The Splinter Generation, Redactions, and others. She is the Founding Editor of Weave Magazine and the San Francisco Poetry Out Loud Coordinator. Laura teaches poetry writing, translation, and recitation in San Francisco, where she lives with her partner, Sal.
