Originally from Arizona, Laurel Zuckerman first became widely known after the publication in French of the wickedly funny Sorbonne Confidential (Fayard, 2007), an account of an American trying to pass a daunting, two-centuries-old competitive exam in order to gain the right to teach English in a French public high school. Sorbonne Confidential is now available in English from Summertime. Her second book, Professor Collies Barbarian Dreams has just been published in French by Fayard. Laurel lives with her husband and children in a little town outside of Paris.She is currently working on a novel about Arizona."
