Le Han is the pen name of an Early Years teacher living in Guangdong. Red-blooded Vase is his first novel, a story born from the land he now calls home. Whenever possible, he travels to remote old Lingnan villages to explore, take photographs, and immerse himself in the beauty of their architecture. Yet it is not only the architecture that captivates him. Places like Qingyuan, Zhaoqing, Foshan, Huizhou, and Shaoguan hold such beauty and quiet magic that it becomes easy to imagine a hidden world concealed in plain sight. It was during one of these journeys that the story first came to him, and his love for Latin American magical realism did the rest. A dance between history and fantasy that he hopes you will enjoy.
