Every village has a story they tell their young. A story designed to instill fear. These stories may have their roots in the truth, but generations of retelling it result in minor changes. Embellishments. Omissions. In this small village, one part of the story about the forest that looms beyond the cornfield is always told DO NOT TREAD WHERE THE LEAVES ARE RED. When a young girl disappears into the forbidden Red Forest, her father rushes to save her. Doubt settles in as he faces the forest he was raised to fear, and he begins to wonder... What if the stories aren't true? And perhaps more importantly... What if they are?
