His translation of Horacio Castellanos Moya's Revulsion: Thomas Bernhard in San Salvador received a 2015 PEN/Heim Translation Fund Award and was recognized by the New Yorker's James Wood as one of four favorites of 2016. Off and on between 1999 and 2014 he edited Eyeshot.net, one of the first weird little lit sites, and in May 2007 he started using Goodreads a lot. He lives in the Philadelphia area with his daughter and wife.
