I don't remember when I knew I wanted to be an author; it was just something that was always present inside my soul. Words have always fascinated me, especially the way the right words strung together could capture almost any experience and make it live for whoever was reading them. In fact, I loved writing so much that I was that one weirdo in class who would rather write a 10-page essay than take a multiple-choice exam. I have tried my hand at many kinds of writing—poetry, children's stories, short stories, novels, scripts, and the occasional song lyric (although I usually deal with parodies of popular songs rather than my own). In addition to writing about Kyrie Carter's paranormal adventures, I am also working on a young adult fantasy/romance loosely based on the Arthurian legends. When I'm not writing, I am busy working with children in various settings. I teach Sunday school, serve as a Den Leader for my son's Cub Scout troop, and work with Bible Release time as a Coordinator, Listener, and Song Leader. I'm also the mother of two very active, creative, and intelligent boys and one very naughty, energetic dog. My husband and I enjoy taking trips to Gettysburg, Florida, and the beach, and we hope to do some traveling out West in the near future.
