Imagine living in a world where all the gods were true. What if you had to apply to worship the gods? In Lyra Nymphaea’s world, your whole life is based on what God you worship - your job, your relationship, friends, etc. All her life, she had not belonged. She had applied and denied to all deities, except for one. She couldn’t hold down a steady job. Her dating life was trash. People she used to be friends with distanced themselves from her. Because nobody wants to be around somebody who has no God and worships nothing. She applies to the last God in some desperate attempt to find some place to belong, only to be denied again.
