The last place I remember seeing people that were supposed to be my parents was in Kansas. A tornado swept me up and gave me a bird's eye view of what the world was like and thus triggered my love to travel and write stories about what I saw. Because of my dislike for math, my desire to write stories grew until the pencil and paper became constant companions in my life. My first published work was a poem in a community newspaper. From that moment I knew I loved the creative process of storytelling. I continued to write for local newspapers around the country and submitting my work to magazines like Walking and Healthcare Traveler. My 'Letters to the Editor' appeared in Writer's Digest and O, The Oprah Magazine to name a few. I enjoy a good love story so in December of 2013 I released my first romance novel, YOU NEED LOVE LIKE I DO. Currently my second book, THE FAT GIRLS CLUB, the first in a new series, was released in the spring of 2015.
