Elijah Burrows and his lover, Sarin, are off to do the unthinkable: offer their services to their enemy. King Mirov’s assassin failed, and Elijah and Sarin hope to spy on the monarch by posing as for-hire mercenaries. With a new, magic-induced appearance and Sarin acting as a wolf companion, Elijah journeys to Mirov’s palace in the neighboring province and convinces Mirov he’s available and ready to do anything to aid the throne.
