Lisa Harnish grew up mostly in Michigan, and relocated to Chandler, Arizona in 1995. Since then, she has worked professionally in marketing, data management and certification management. In 2002, Lisa took a weekend ceramics class, and was instantly addicted to clay. Since then, she has developed an ongoing ceramic art business and her porcelain pottery can be found in several art galleries in the Phoenix metro area. Most recently, the creative urge has taken her into the realm of writing fiction. “Consolidation” is her debut series of novels about surviving a worldwide pandemic. Lisa shares her home with an unruly canine pack affectionately referred to as “The Jerky Boys.” Like many authors, Lisa loves to read, however, in recent years, she consumes most of her fiction in audio book format. Listening to books while making pottery is enormously relaxing. The book keeps the verbal side of the brain engaged, while the visual/three dimensional side is focused on the art. There’s no room for any of the crap in life to intrude. Lisa listens to a wide variety of sci-fi and fantasy fiction subgenres, including post apocalypse (obviously), military sci-fi, planet colonization, urban paranormal (vampires, werewolves, witches) and some fantasy.
