Lisa Rosenberg is the author of A Different Physics (Red Mountain Press), winner of the 2024 American Legacy Book Award for poetry. A former space program engineer trained as a physicist, her work has been recognized by a Djerassi Leonardo/ISAST Residency, Wallace Stegner Fellowship, and MOSAIC America Fellowship. She served as the 2017-2018 Poet Laureate of San Mateo County, California, and is a frequent speaker on the confluence of arts and sciences. Her poems and essays appear in venues such as The Threepenny Review, The Common, Terrain.org, POETRY, Plume (forthcoming), Slackjaw, SWWIM, and California Fire & Water: A Climate Crisis Anthology.
