Liz was born and raised in Australia, the eldest of six children. After working in a number of varied careers from university tutor to gym instructor to financial advisor, she came to the UK on a working holiday visa in 2001 where she fell in love with now partner, Abby. After moving to Guernsey (of ‘Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society’ fame), Liz worked in finance for years until leaving the security of an office job to work as a photographer. Roaming the internet in early 2012 gave Liz the inspiration she needed to complete her first novel and was lucky enough to win the ‘When Sally Met Sally’ writing competition. This lead to the release of the lesbian historical fiction novels 'Journey to the Other Side' and 'A World Inverted'. Liz's third book 'Jackboots & Jerrybags' has just been released and is based during World War II in German-Occupied Guernsey. When not working as a photographer, finance tutor and writer, Liz spends time with Abby, their one year old son, three dogs and a rescue cat called Churchill.
