L.J. Stanton grew up in Calgary, Alberta. She attended the University of Guelph where she graduated with a diploma in Equine Sciences. She pursued a career training horses and teaching riding lessons in Canada and the United States. After moving to California and receiving a diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Stanton changed careers to pursue her writing. With the help of her husband, they started the media publishing company Sword & Board LLC. In 2020 Sword & Board published Stanton’s debut novel, The Dying Sun. It is the first book in The Gods Chronicle series. Stanton now lives near Los Angeles with her husband and two dogs.
