Author, Artist, and Poet, Loretta Boyer McClellan, sees the art of writing as an exciting medium and source of abundant joy in the creative process. Her multilayered career as a writer of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry; in conscious PR, brand, graphic design, and communications; and as an Arts instructor, journalist, lyricist, and artist, “sized the canvas” for a fruitful life of expression. Born in San Jose, California, Loretta has lived, worked, taught, and volunteered in many parts of the United States. She studied Art in California, Hawai‘i and Japan, drawing from these experiences for her writing and artwork. When she isn’t writing, teaching, volunteering, abiding in nature, or meditating, she paints, primarily in watercolor. Her original art and design grace the covers of her books. Her greatest delights are her family and building steadfast friendships with people around the world of all beliefs and backgrounds. She and her husband are the parents of four sons and a daughter-in-law.
