There's blood on the bayou tonight—and every night—in Louisiana Vampires, a ghoulish gumbo of vampire tales set in the Creole state. In stories whose settings range from Baton Rouge to New Orleans, and from Spanish moss-draped swamps to historic mansions of the Crescent City's Garden District, the undead emerge at moonrise, prowl darkened streets and byways, and slake their bloodthirsts on tourists and locals alike. Mardi-Gras and mausoleums. Bougainvillea and voodoo queens. Cajun culture, gris-gris, and all that jazz. The sights, sounds, and colorful history of Louisiana accent these tales by thirteen top horror writers whose vampires embody the hot pulse and piquant character of the state. Evoking the gentility and magic we associate with Louisiana, Louisiana Vampires is a sanguinary celebration of southern supernaturalism. Let the blood times roll!
