Billy and Wade, young men from opposite sides of the track, are deeply in love with one another. Their lives are perfect bliss—and then they are split asunder by Wade's decision to marry rich girl Gloria Madden in order to assure himself a cushy job with her father's firm. Billy is devastated, but he is unable to move on.
