Freddie "Face" Merlot is loving North Carolina. Haiti will always be home but he appreciates his new life. Everything is going great until a ghost from his past comes back into his life. While he's shocked, and her presence is kind of complicated, Face puts everything on the back burner to be there for her. His first mistakes was assuming that everything would go back to the way that it used to be and that Marsla is the same person from years ago. When she feels that she's finally begun to heal, she's also hit with the revelation that it may be safe for her to love Face, but does the epiphany come too little too late? Prospect and Genesis are still dealing with the emotional roller coaster that is their relationship. Prospect finally realizes that he can't continue being the same man if he wants to be with Genesis and raise their child as a family but for as much as she loves him, Genesis may finally be done with the dysfunction.
