Scott A. Butler is a hard of hearing and AuDHD multi-genre author who proves that a carbon-based life-form can run almost entirely on tea and quietly brilliant ideas. (Mostly tea, though.) Scott’s unique journey into storytelling began after losing his hearing as a child. This led to a very active imagination and, let's be honest, a dash of social awkwardness. To avoid having his sanity constantly questioned, he decided to stop sharing his imaginative worlds out loud. Instead, upon discovering an old typewriter at his grandparents' house, he put it all down on paper. He found the simple truth that writing about made-up people is significantly less complicated than trying to talk to real ones. When he’s not busy constructing alternate universes or being productively awkward, you can usually find Scott engaged in one of his other serious pursuits: being a servant to various household animals, filling his brain with an alarming quantity of useless Doctor Who facts, perfecting the art of tea and cake consumption, or quietly pretending not to be jealous of other authors' success.

Beth W. Patterson was a full-time musician for over two decades before sidestepping into the world of writing (a process she describes as “fleeing the circus to join the zoo”). Much of her fiction is based on real-life musical experiences made more plausible by the infusion of things that go bump in the night. Her most recent book is Mongrels and Misfits and her short stories and poetry have appeared in the anthologies A Bard Day’s Knight, Sha’Daa: Facets, Cogs in Time 2, Rise of the Goddess, Poets in Hell, Steampunk Fairies, Lurking in the Deep, and Klarissa Dreams. She has also penned some nonfiction articles on music. Patterson has played in fifteen countries across the Americas, Europe, Australia, and Asia. She appears on over a hundred and twenty albums (including seven solo albums of her own) in addition to a smattering of soundtracks, videos, commercials, and voice-overs. Various artists have recorded over a hundred of her compositions and co-writes. She studied ethnomusicology at University College, Cork in Ireland and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from Loyola University New Orleans. Beth has occasionally worn other hats as a body paint model, film extra, minor role actor, recording studio partner, record label owner, and artist. She is a lover of exquisitely stupid movies and a shameless fangirl of the band Rush.

I’m Shelly, only slightly lady-ish, I live in the wonderful state of Washington, a bit south of Seattle. I’ve always loved books and reading, and now feel that I want to share all of the books I read with other people. My “to-read-pile” is slowly taking over all available space and I keep adding to it. The instant gratification of eReaders (I have a Nook and use the Kindle app as well) has only made this habit worse. My love of books has also encouraged another love which is writing. I wrote fan fiction for various shows for a few years, and tried my hand at something original with NaNoWriMo 2011. I quickly became hooked, and along with a notebook full of book reviews and thoughts I now have a couple of notebooks filled with plot ideas and stories. I was published in May of 2013 in an anthology by Darq Deviant Press entitled “Bitter Blackout”, which is available on Amazon. I’m currently working on a full length story to go along with my piece, The Harrowing. When I’m not reading, I’m out exploring the vast wonders of my state. I’ve recently taken up hiking, and completed my first 5k run, and have become hooked. I’m a Girl Scout leader, and I also head up a local writing group called The Sock Monkey Writers. I’m active in the community, and I’m almost never without something to do. I love music and claim to be a metalhead, but I’ve rediscovered my country side and adore a lot of artists. I am always wanting to further my education and seek out lots of different experiences and I love to try new things.
