Writing is a responsibility to not only entertain, but assist in the expansion of concepts to add to a readers understanding of the world. It is a voice wanting to express ideas from our life experiences or from beyond us, characters who want their voice heard and are tapping on our skull, and ideas we think have some merit. It is sticking our necks out for anyone with an opinion to utter their love or displeasure in what we write. It is a calling we cannot ignore. Telling stories have always been a love of mine, but somehow supporting myself in life came first. As a registered nurse, caring for people in an imaginative way fostered singing songs and wearing a smile as I soothed the hurts. Shifts in who I was spiritually, took me to holistic health as a practitioner and owner of a clinic, the Gayatri Center for Healing. More education brought leadership skills, sponsoring spiritual trips to Peru, and giving workshops for personal growth. Who I am spiritually is seen in my writing; novels, children’s books and published articles. www.lynnecarolaustin.com Novels: Ten of Swords, Gull Soup Children’s books: Edith Ann Marie The Sun is in My Heart, Francine and Hazel, Tell Me A Story, Mama Little Berry and Mama Bear.
