M.A.Q. Rizvon holds a Masters in English and Political Science from Karnataka University and a Diploma in Creative Writing in English from Indira Gandhi University. He is a seasoned storyteller, winning many a contest such as the World Short Story Contest II organized by the Hindustan Times and an essay contest organized by Filmfare magazine. His stories have also been published in the Swatantra collection by K. S. Rao and newspapers Deccan Times and Indian Review. He writes often about the effect of faith in all his work and has written The Practicing Muslim, sharing the gift of Islam with the world. He lives in Tiruchirapalli with Zubaida, his wife of 55 years.
