Maes E. known to everyone by her middle name Esther, loves books. If she could have her own State Library, she would. She worked at a Christian High School for seventeen years and now does full-time ministry where she gets to do her first love: write books. Maes is the co-host of two popular podcasts. One for children called 'Car ride stories for GIGI kids' and one for teen girls called 'GIGI teen radio'. As a little girl Maes read lots of books, specially anything that had a mystery (Nancy Drew anyone!?). Reading was a way for her to escape to other worlds and forget about the trauma she had suffered during the war in her country. As Maes got older, she discovered she loved writing and wanted to bring her readers as much joy as she got from books. Maes enjoys co-writing with her younger sister Stephanie and together are creating an exciting Christian series for teen girls. 'Giselle: the secret of the locket' being the first one. She lives in sunny Brisbane, Australia, and is looking forward to moving to the countryside one day, where she can find more creative inspiration in the beauty of the rolling hills and the quiet.
