This special-edition boxed set contains three complete first-in-series witchy paranormal cozy mystery GRAVE MISTAKE When you pull up stakes, make sure you don’t get stabbed in the back. Hedgewitch Selena runs to Arizona to escape Lucien, a slimy, celebrity-schmoozing sorcerer. Just as she’s meeting the locals—including hunky Calvin Standingbear—Lucien tracks her down…then disappears. And when one of Lucien’s acolytes is killed, Selena and Calvin race against time before a too-close-for-comfort evil cuts her own life short. CAFFEINE BEFORE CURSES When a movie shoot ends in murder, a caffeine fix might be the star’s only hope. Skye O’Malley’s witch powers are nothing special. But when a film crew comes to town, they’re put to the test when the film’s star—her unrequited crush—is accused of murder. Max Sullivan needs a miracle, but if Skye’s tea leaves are too murky, a killer could get away clean. SPELLS AND SPANIELS Something’s got a spaniel familiar’s tongue…and it isn’t a cat. When an influential witch is found dead and her familiar, a spell-silenced spaniel named Milo, is attacked, Charity Hughes calls on handsome local veterinarian Noah Jenkins—and her familiar-whisperer gift—to race against time to find out why someone wants the spaniel to remain silent as the grave…permanently.

Author · 106 books

A native of Southern California, Christine Pope has been writing stories ever since she commandeered her family’s Smith-Corona typewriter back in the sixth grade. Many reams of dead trees later, she’s happy to announce that her debut novel, Fringe Benefits, was published by Pink Petal Books on April 8, 2010. Her short fiction has appeared in Astonishing Adventures, Luna Station Quarterly, and the new journal of dark fiction, Dark Valentine. Her paranormal novella, Playing With Fire, was released on August 5, 2010. While Fringe Benefits is a straight contemporary romance, she writes in a variety of genres, including paranormal romance, fantasy, horror, science fiction, and historical romance. She blames this on being easily distracted by bright, shiny objects, which could also account for the size of her shoe collection. After spending many years in the magazine publishing industry, she now works as a freelance editor in addition to writing fiction. She lives with her husband and an explosively fluffy Pomeranian mix. Her house is pink, but don’t hold that against her.
