Mardy was born and raised in Illinois until the age of thirteen when her father relocated the family to Florida in 1975. She began working at Walt Disney World at the age of sixteen. After graduating high school in 1979 she sought her career with Disney. She worked there for nineteen years before transferring to Reedy Creek Improvement District. In 1999 she and her husband relocated to Nancy, Kentucky. It is ther, in Kentucky, that she was able to peruse her love of writing as her children grew older. She started writing Christian romance as she saw the need for moral Christian literature while working with the youth at church. She wrote Stowaway to Eden which led to At Home in Eden, Return to Eden, and a fourth, United in Eden which is a work in progress. She, along with her husband,now empty nesters, find joy in working every Friday night with HeartsAlive, an addiction program at their church. They love to watch Christ turn lives around. Most importantly, through this ministry, her walk with Christ has grown and continues to grow daily.
