Margarida Aritzeta i Abad is a writer and teacher of Literary Theory and Comparative Literature. She was born in Valls 20 July 1953. After studying in Tarragona, she moved to Barcelona wheres he studied Modern and Contemporary History and Catalan Philology at the University of Barcelona, University where she earned her Ph.D. with a thesis on the poet and critic Joseph Lleonart. Since 1970, and for three years she studied Fine Arts at the School of Fine Arts in St. George, but finally she decided to move to literary career, in which was soon recognized. Since then she has published numerous works, mainly novels.
