
Marina Peralta was born in Mexico City where she owned and ran a highly successful dance school. In her thirties, she moved to the US where she obtained a BA in Psychology from San Diego State University and her Masters from National University. A well-known psychotherapist specializing in family counseling and abused children, she has practiced in Los Angeles and currently in San Diego. She continues to fulfill her passion for dancing because as she says: "Dancing is my connection with the joy of youth." Marina wrote Barriers to Love: Embracing A Bisexual Identity because she wanted to convey her message, "We need to envision a world where we can celebrate affection in any form regardless of sexual orientation or gender expression."
