Following a paranormal experience that happened to me in 1976 (see the books Southoe & Midloe chapter), I became fascinated with ghosts and poltergeist activity. I was only 15 years old at the time and when I relayed my experience back to my parents, I was told not to be so Bl**DY STUPID! Fortunately my mother's sister Marilyn was married to a gentleman called Trevor Kenward. Trevor was a long standing member of the famous "Ghost Club", the world's oldest psychical research organisation. Trevor's cousin was Peter Underwood, who also happened to be President of the 'Ghost Club'. Peter was highly regarded in the UK paranormal world, he wrote over 50 books on the subject and was also the President of the 'Ghost Club' from 1960 up until 1992. My uncle Trevor interviewed me in great depth about my experience and he believed my account of what happened. However, apart from reading books on the subject, I was unable to become involved with any of Trevor's work, as I was only 15 years old at the time. Three years later, assisted by my uncle Trevor, I conducted my very first paranormal investigation on the 17th March 1979, shortly after my 18th birthday. Nothing of a paranormal nature occured, which experience has taught me is not at all unusual. I was very fortunate to be tutored by my uncle Trevor and Peter Underwood in the art of conducting controlled paranormal investigations. This is a hobby that I enjoy and still carry out to this day. This book chronicals Huntingdonshire's Ghosts, Myths and Legends. Huntingdonshire no longer exists, as a county though. In 1974 it was absorbed into Cambridgeshire and is now a District of Cambs, making up approximately 25% of Cambridgeshire. However, the area still retains it's old county name of Huntingdonshire. This is for historical reasons. Oliver Cromwell was born in Huntingdon, Queen Katherine of Aragon died in Huntingdonshire, and the famous diarist Samuel Pepys lived, learned and worked here in Huntingdonshire. The book is A4 in size, it contains 108K words and over 300 colour images and illustrations. It contains 55 different haunted locations, along with some fascinating local history, which is linked to these haunted locations. I also thought it would be interesting to spend a night in some of these haunted locations and document what happened. An honest and accurate account of what was experienced is also included within the book. For more information please visit: www.thhoh.weebly.com https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=px7s5...
