Mark Saba grew up in Pittsburgh in a family of Italian and Polish origins. He holds degrees from Wesleyan University and Hollins College. His latest work of fiction is Two Novellas: A Luke of All Ages / Fire and Ice (Adelaide Books).He is also the author of a book of stories (Ghost Tracks: Stories of Pittsburgh Past, Big Table Publishing, Boston); two short novels: The Landscapes of Pater (The Vineyard Press, New York, 2004) and Thaddeus Olsen (in the collection Desperate Remedies, Apis Books, London, 2008); and two books of poetry: Painting a Disappearing Canvas (Grayson Books, 2012) and Calling the Names (David Robert Books, 2017). His epic poem, "Judith of the Lights," was published by the Mellen Poetry Press as an award-winner in 1996. He has also published four fiction ebooks (Letters from Novosibirsk—FREE, The Shoemaker, Signs, and Tipping Points). Other fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction have appeared in many literary magazines and anthologies in the U.S. and abroad (see marksabawriter.com). Mark works as an illustrator and graphic designer at Yale University. He is also a painter.
