
Marvin Wilmes resides in Boone, Iowa with his wife, Lori, and children, Wesley and Casey. Marvin is a 1982 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. Marvin has worked for newspapers in Maryville, Missouri and Cherokee, Iowa, establishing and operating The Chronicle from 1992-97. Marvin began a human services career in 1997 and worked for Woodward Resource Center for the State of Iowa from 1998-2011. Marvin continues to work in human services and customer service and is actively involved in writing. Marvin is an observer of the human condition, writes about life's passions, faith and hope and opens the reader's eyes to "the process." In addition to a memoir, Marvin is bringing to the arena a contemporary post Vietnam War era fantasy in three episodes. Marvin is an Iowa resident with Missouri roots, a cancer survivor and most of all, an eclectic storyteller. Writing from a diverse background of experience, Marvin celebrates the the gift of hope and faith in God's purpose for living life and living it more abundantly.
