Mary Ann Marlowe works by day as a computer programmer/DBA in central Virginia. By night, she travels to far-off imaginary lands and likes to make her fictional characters kiss. In a former life, she spent ten years in grad school, at 3 different universities, pursuing a degree in French literature. Her resume includes stints as a French teacher at the University of Richmond, an au pair in Calais, a hotel intern in Paris, a German tutor, a college radio disc jockey, a copy editor, a customer service rep, a waitress, and a webmaster for several online musician fandoms. She has lived in twelve states and three countries and loves to travel. She also writes under the name Lorelei Parker.
