Mary L. Englar received Master of Fine Arts Degree in Creative Writing and was a professor at Mankato State. She wrote and published educational children's books. She served in the Peace Corps in Tunisia. She was diagnosed with Stage IV Adrenal gland cancer, She passed March 3rd, 2017 at the age of 62. (info was taken from an obit in the star tribune)
