Mary Hagen grew up in Wyoming on her parents' ranch where she developed an interest in western American history. Later she studied history at the University of Wyoming. Today, her western historical romances are loacted in Wyoming based on stories she heard as a child. She, also, writes contemporary mysteries that take place in an imaginary small town in Wyoming. She lives in Colorado and enjoys hiking with her poodle, skiing, traveling, and reading mysteries and historical romances.
