There is an age difference that Brand has to negotiate, being the older one, as well as the dangers of being with a famous person. Brand discovers, much to his surprise, that not only does he like Trent as a Master, but he is falling in love with him.

Brand is right-out-of-school young when he enters The Service, maybe too young. He is assigned to Mike Dobrogost, a cocky NFL football player with the New England Patriots. Gost, as everyone calls his new Master, is famous for his partying and sexual exploitation. Not exactly the Master that Brand had hoped for—one that would worship him and one with whom he might fall in love. Further complicating matters is that Gost is already used to having a Servant, because Brand is not the only Servant in his employ.

Brand is excited to enter The Service and even more excited to meet his new Master. He is assigned to Zane Wooding, an action-adventure movie star and a real man’s man. Zane is famous for his body more than his acting, but the paparazzi and his legions of fans don’t seem to care. Brand has to dodge the pitfalls of being with someone so famous and even begins to fall for his Master, but he also becomes a target for those that are jealous of Zane’s interest in him. While his Master protects him from outsiders, the evil is much closer to home.

Brand is excited to be called to The Service and even more excited to meet his new Master. But then he finds that instead of one man, he is assigned to be a team Servant for the Minnesota Timberwolves, a professional NBA team. Brand is given a new name, Wolf, and expected to satisfy all the basketball players sexually. He is joined in this endeavor by two other marked men who show him the ropes. All the players seem interested except one, Anthony Close. Wolf takes an immediate liking to Close and has to slowly begin to unravel the mystery that is the star player. Wolf falls in love with him quickly. When other men try to take advantage of Wolf, Anthony Close has to decide what he really wants. And Wolf has to decide if he is willing to pay the price.

Brand is excited to be called to The Service and even more excited to meet his new Master. He is assigned to Steve Macon, a hockey player for the New York Rangers who has recently been transferred to New York. Brand expected to be delivered to a Master who would use him sexually, but is immediately intrigued when he discovers that this Master is not like anything he had expected. Brand has to grow and learn along with his new Master and even begins to fall for him. When tragedy strikes it makes them both wonder if Steve has learned enough about Brand to save him and if Brand is willing to go to any extreme to let him.

Brand is excited to be called to The Service, but not so much when he learns that his new Master has already returned three Servants. Due to his quick wit, directness, and ability to be creative, he is given the impossible challenge of making this assignment stick. Brand is delivered to his Master, who stays in the shadows and will not let the Servant see him. Brand passes all of the Master‘s tests and discovers that he has been called to Service by Chance Bryson, a country music star who has trust issues. Brand is also surprised by the depth of his feelings for the hot singer. Unbeknownst to either Chance or Brand, there are several tests to their relationship still to go, because not everyone is happy with the new pairing.

Brand is finally being called to The Service, but nothing is smooth about this assignment. His Master turns out to be Mark Lewis, an actor who has made his fame playing a superhero. Brand’s short-lived excitement is tempered by the knowledge that another Servant has been delivered to the same house. Mark Lewis shares a house with Mark Axelsen, another actor famous for playing a caped crusader. The other Servant doesn’t work out, but Brand seizes the opportunity to try to satisfy both Masters. When tragedy strikes, Brand wonders if his Masters are more like their superhero characters or the stereotype of the spoiled actor. Or does he even need them to rescue him at all?
