A Contemporary Christian Romance She only wanted to survive her coffee date . . . Ellie Parker had a date set up through an online Christian dating site. Shouldn’t be too bad, right? Except Ellie believed she was a walking disaster. After twenty-three set-ups, she’d never been asked out a second time. Meeting the new guy for coffee might be promising—if only she could pronounce his name right. Then enters Noah Donovan—devastatingly handsome and completely unattainable. Too bad he wasn’t her date. When Ellie spills coffee all over Noah’s shirt, she’s mortified to say the least. The guy she was supposed to meet hadn’t even arrived yet, and she’d already created havoc. Noah had a reputation for being a matchmaker, even though his last relationship was a complete failure. He couldn’t take his eyes off the frantic redhead wearing the ugliest gold shawl he’d ever seen. Not only did she fumble her date, she practically ran the guy off. That’s when Noah stepped in and offered his services as a dating coach. But what happens when the coach falls for the student? Will he be able to risk love again? And what if the student has insecurities that threaten a wall between them? Can Noah convince Ellie that love is worth fighting for? "Matchmaker by Evangeline Kelly is an inspiring story written with an aim to encourage young people to define themselves by God’s viewpoint of who they are."— Edith Wairimu from Readers' Favorite This is the second book in the Santa Clarita Love Stories Series, but it can be read as a standalone, and out of order.

Evangeline Kelly is the pen name I use to write contemporary Christian romance books. When I was a kid, I had two dreams. One was to work with at risk youth and the other was to write books. After pursuing my passion of working with foster children for over twenty years, I finally decided to pursue my childhood dream of writing. I love a good book that draws you in and takes hold of your heart. When I write, I hope to show real life situations people go through and how God uses those situations to draw us closer to Himself. I’ve witnessed suffering in my line of work, but I’ve also witnessed God’s redeeming love. A good Christian romance features both hardship and delight. My hope is that my stories not only entertain, but encourage, and most of all, that they bring glory and honor to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
