Max Parsonage authors books that explain the ideas used in chemistry in plain English. He started writing when teaching chemistry, and running the chemistry department in a school. He has authored science videos and educational software. He believes that understanding is the key, not rote learning. The ideas in chemistry build up, layer upon layer. Also, concepts are tougher, if the language is convoluted, so Max uses plain English. He chose to leave teaching, and write books for new students of chemistry, and also books to be enjoyed by non-scientists.
