Maya Sheppard was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Cancer survivor, single mother and lover of books, she found escape in writing and romance. She loves to write and share her efforts with other romance readers and is currently working on a full-length science fiction novel about what happens after the world ends as we know it.
